Meet Max!

Meet Max, who is Great Pyrenees mix, and about 10 months old now. Max and his siblings, a female dog, Ripley, and Loki found his way to the shelter this past October. He was adopted by Professor Belleville, who teaches at the law school. Max now has two adopted dog siblings, Reggie and Angel. He enjoys soccer and hiking with his new family.  He loves to chase squirrels, and play outside! He is a mellow dog, but enjoys playing with the two little girls who adopted him. Max truly has a great happy "tale."

Meet Mugsy!

Meet Mugsy! Mugsy is a Golden Retriever mix, who found his way to the shelter last April. He is about 6 months old. He had a rough start, after a bout of parvo, and being fostered by a very good hearted law student, Brooke, he found his forever home! He was adopted by Brooke's friend, Kaitlin, and now is enjoying his forever home. He is happy, healthy, and he is truly a happy "tale."

Ripley is a 9 month old Great Pyrenees mix pup, who with her siblings, Max, Loki, and another female puppy found her way to the shelter. Ripley found her forever home with Kevin, a law student, after an adoption fair. These puppies were known as "fluff" puppies, and are definitely grown! She is full of energy and loves her red scarf! She is definitely a very peaceful dog. Ripley is no doubt happy to have found her new best friend!

Loki is about 9 months old a Great Pyrenees mix, and he is full of energy. Loki found his way to the shelter with his litter mates, Ripley, Max, and another. Lucky for this litter, each found their way to loving homes with the ASL Community. Loki was adopted by law student, T.J. He loves to play, and definitely found his forever home!

Roxie was adopted last fall by a law student, Mary. She is just about a year old now. She is believed to be a boxer/beagle mix.  Roxie enjoys summer days chasing a puppy tire and ball. She loves to help her owner clean up falling trees--carrying tree limbs that are 10x her size! Roxie concludes her day by a nap on a big comfy couch. Roxie is another happy "tail."

Meet Waldo, who was adopted by law student, Jen's mom in Virginia Beach. Waldo found his way to the shelter, and he was probably around 1-2 years old. He's a beautiful Himalayan kitty, who just needed to find his forever home. Waldo is very attached to Jen's mom, and is just as beautiful as can be. Waldo is another kitty, who got lucky finding his forever home!

Meet Anisette, who was adopted by law student, Jen, in October 2009. Anisette is a Halloween kitty as you can see from her picture. She is adorable, sweet, and full of energy. She enjoys her new home with her cat siblings, Giovanni and Isis. Anisette was lucky to find a great forever home with Jen.

Raven was adopted by a Virginia Beach resident, Ashley in April 2010. One of our group members on a trip home brought Raven to her  new forever home on her way home to Virginia Beach. Raven has an adopted dog sibling at her new home, too!

Meet Isa (Isabela) who was adopted in September 2008 by a law student, Tara. Isa was a kitten at the shelter when she was rescued. Tara could not walk away from this little girl in the cage who kept meowing and reaching her paw out for her. Isa now is 2 years old, and loves to run around the house with her adopted cat brother, Max, who is 3 years old. She has a personality that is truly her own, and she is always full of love and affection.

Meet Stewie!

Stewie found his way to the Buchanan County Animal Shelter this past March. Stewie was in a tough spot. It was a couple weeks before the Animal Adoption Fair, and Stewie had a problem with one of his legs. It didn't look too good for Stewie until Ann, a local law student, came to find an animal to foster. Stewie was cared for and nursed back to health by Ann. Ann fell in love with Stewie, and he has a forever home with Ann's family. Stewie is now 6 months old, and a sweetie pie. His health is improved, and he's enjoying his new home! Horray for Stewie!
